Tips for LinkedIn Headshots
Grand Rapids Headshots by Kari Douma Photography knows about headshots. We have photographed thousands of headshots! There are a few things that we recommend for making the most of your business social media headshot session.
- Zoom In - For LinkedIn, you need a great quality headshot, that is a close up image of who you are. On linkedIn, if you click on the image, it doesn't enlarge that much. You will want your connections to see a picture of you that is recognizable, not a far away picture where they can't see your face. So, crop in close, and show a nice close up image of your face. That way people you connect with on LinkedIn will see YOU!
- Keep it Simple - Your LinkedIn image is not a branding image. With branding images, you want to show a little more of your personality, and often show more of your body or torso. Your LinkedIn headshot should be simple and close up as mentioned in the first point.
- Try a pop of color - If you want your image to stand out on LinkedIn, you might want to try a pop of color. Weather that be in your clothing options, or on the background color choice, it will help you stand out when scrolling through
Make sure your headshot is professional, recognizable, and helps you stand out in in your professional social media.
