1. Where do the team headshots take place?
There are two parts to this answer. First, what type of background are you looking for? Are you looking for an environmental background inside your office or location? Or are you looking for a traditional photography backdrop or solid color? Of course if you are looking for the environmental background, we would hold the session at your location. If you are wanting a traditional background or solid color, then you have options. For smaller teams (2-6 people), it is easiest to schedule an appointment at our studio. This is great for new hires or small businesses. We have everything we need there… our camera and lighting equipment, backgrounds, etc. If you have a large team, it might be easier for your company if we brought our mobile studio to you.
2. What type of backgrounds do you use for headshots?
We have a variety of backgrounds. Solid grey or white is very popular, and allows for the focus to be on you without being distracting. We also have a variety of traditional photographic backgrounds and colors. If you have a location that you would like as an environmental background, just let us know! 3. How long does it take?
This question depends on what you are going for. Some companies want one look per person. This is relatively fast and easy. You can expect that we would spend about 3-5 minutes with each person in front of the camera. If you would like more options and looks, we would need a little longer time frame. Just let us know your needs specifically, and we can create a schedule that will fit.
4. What is the best way to organize everyone?
Things will go much smoother for everyone if it is organized. We offer an online scheduling system for your day that will allow you to send a customized link to your team, and let each person pick their own time slot. This makes much less work for you, and helps us to be as organized as possible. We also will be able to view and select each headshot immediately after photographing them. This cuts down on any work for you after the fact, trying to pick out images for each team member.
5. Do you retouch images?
Yes, we do! Retouching is included in all of our Team headshot sessions that are priced at a per person rate. If you are booking us for an event where you are paying a half day or full day rate, there is an additional fee per image if you would like retouching done.
6. What should everyone wear?
The first thing you should think if is if you are trying to align with your company branding. Most companies give their team members a dress code or color palette to work from for team headshots. Example, if you have navy blue in your business logo, you might want your team members to have navy blue as a primary color. You should specify what style your team members should wear also. 7. What else can we do to be prepared?
Looking fresh is the best thing you can do to be prepared. Get a good nights sleep, and stay away from alcohol before the session. Drink lots of water to have a healthy look to your skin. If you plan to get a haircut or color, don’t do anything drastic or different right before the shoot. Hair regret is very real and one of the main reasons people can be unsatisfied. A professional make up artist is a great choice. If you have a large team, we can arrange for a make up artist to be onsite to help everyone look their best.
8. How long does it take to get the images back?
We can have the images ready for you to download within one week of your session date. If you need them sooner, rush delivery is available if it fits into our schedule. If you have specific dimensions, sizes, or requirements, please let us know.
